Brief introduction of the workshop:

Maintaining skin integrity is a key goal in the prevention of pressure ulcers. Frequent skin assessment, the adoption of appropriate skincare regimes along with emerging therapies such as prophylactic dressings are considered important elements of a comprehensive prevention protocol in maintaining an optimal skin micro-climate. Recent evidence will be presented supporting these concepts and their impact reducing overall pressure ulcer incidence.
